Fresh Goods Friday 707: The Spot of Bother Edition

Well, hello. This is not the usual Fresh Goods Friday video nonsense

Things have not quite gone to plan this week. So we were filming yesterday and Amanda was

off sick so she wasn't here. Benji is on a plane, well was on a plane, has now landed

somewhere fun. That's his first plane trip in 11 years. So it was me and Mark doing a

video yesterday but part of the way through filming his wife rang and it turns out she's

got appendicitis and is in surgery as we speak. So get well soon Vic. Mark is lovingly

at her bedside and I'm here with some stuff that Mark has organised. One of them is his

bike which he's supposed to be taking to Mausean on holiday quite soon with Vic. That might

end up not happening I guess. I'm not sure how long it takes to recover from appendix

surgery. Then the other thing we've got here some pedals. These are from, oh nearly dropped

them, these are from DMR and they're like a commuter pedal with a rubbery edge and some

pins and they're called the flat four. So yeah slightly less shoe-hairy than a DMR Volt

So if you want to commute in in your brogues perhaps darling, there you go, that's what

you could ride in. We've also got some Volts but Benji's poached them and taken them straight

off to the fun place that he's flown to. So I don't have those. And then I have this

here, this is Bother which is kind of appropriate for our spot of bother for this week. This

is a magazine, a marketing exercise by Brant and Ed at Heb Troco and it's sort of, it's

a bit like if Radio 4 and Dave TV had a magazine love child I think. It's definitely got an

air of testosterone about it. It's sort of a men's magazine for the modern man I guess

Lots of stories about their friends and people that they work with, some sort of highbrow I guess, the Radio 4

content perhaps. There's architecture in there, there's art and then there's makers as well. Lots

of UK based makers. So yeah, words to be read, print ain't dead. You can get one of these from
