I have a couple of Shoei’s which are far better than my old ‘job’ Schuberths. I don’t know if you are anywhere near Guildford (I’m not but I travelled the length of the country to see them and get a new suit), but Motolegends are brilliantly helpful.
If not, then find your helmet at the cheapest net price possible, and Motolegends will beat that…[Read more]

  • We’ve just got a new house, where the builder specified that the kitchen come from BenchMarx. It was our choice, in the units and design we wanted. We were given a price we could spend and any excess was to be made up by us.
What we ended up with was great, we really like it, we spent half of the money on a Corian work top, but that itself makes…[Read more]

Why is it that whenever a subject comes up at home, then STW has an appropriate thread just started!!
    Am watching with great interest.
My own BP has for the last 5 years been on the edge. Probably about 135/80. However over the last couple of months due to a knee injury and lack of exercise its being slowly rising. Now hovering at 165/90
    I’m off…[Read more]

  • Has anyone tried a Trakke bag. Before this thread became active I ordered a Wee Lug. It was quite expensive!!
It’s well made and looks ok, but there’s just something about it. It’s quite basic for the price. That said I like the cotton finish
It is currently sat unused in the kitchen. Do I like it or not? Do I want it or not?
Just not sure, I need…[Read more]

  • Matt_Outandabout…….. I hate to correct you, but I don’t think Cumbria never had Sapphires, certainly not as Motorway cars, they had very few Sierras, mainly XR4i’s, these weren’t motorway cars either. The photo you show isn’t a car in Cumbria livery, it isn’t a Cumbrian registered number, and isn’t a Cumbria Logo on the ROS arch, in fact it…[Read more]

I guess other than the odd few days here and there I’ve run nearly every day for the last 25 years. It is almost tear jerking to think its over!!! Sixty years old and on the scrapheap!
Currently I can ride a bike, but its not easy, the knee becomes quite sore. The Consultant (who I really trust) suggests it will be just pissing off the…[Read more]

  • I posted a couple of moths ago about running the GNR with a sore knee. Well things have developed. I paid for a sports physio, who diagnosed a strained tendon, then a couple of weeks lated a strained ligament. A couple of weeks further on and no improvement, I went to see my GP, who suggested I go to see a Consultant, who made me scream as he…[Read more]

  • I’ll lay my cards on the table. I am not musical, I can’t play any instruments whatsoever. I have no knowledge of musical instruments.
Mrs YP would like an electric piano. We used to have an upright, but it had to go when we moved house. She has quite an ability to play, and for Christmas / Birthday / Special Day I’d like to buy her a new one that…[Read more]
