    @Futurreboy77

Yes, from eBay, this is the one I bought and here is the crown and stem. From separate shops, I didn’t see a combination of good prices for both from a single source. Got a ruck of cheap tools too, not normally a fan of cheap when it comes to tools but I hope not to be using them too often.

It was also used for the jump at the start of Goldeneye.

    Wrong, damn.

    Fixed that for you.

  • If the car is still in your posession, chances are even if they pay out the write off they’ll tell you to scrap it, you could have the full money and the car if that happens.

I think you’d have a job getting insurance and tax for a scrapped car!

I’ve not got round to the detailed comparison yet, but we’ve been told that there’s the traditional £1k limit, I’m likely to want to break it, but not totally smash it! I don’t think I’m skilled enough to be bothered about the difference between forks, and the Revs are 35mm so should be decent enough.

  • Imagine a mr kipling fondant fancy had children with a tunnocks snow ball. Now imagine one’s a nice child and then the other one is the one no-one likes. A Lamington is that one.

Too long to be a contender, but funny nonetheless. 😁

Was interested in that because I’ll be in the market for a new bike within a couple of months, (bikes to work scheme woo hoo!) but it’s pricey compared to the likes of the White 629. Shame they don’t offer the Big Al with a slightly better spec.

  • Ah yes, with all the other symptoms that does sound like a head gasket. The ‘smoke’ is likely steam from water going through the combustion chambers.

Head gasket and power steering rack is going to cost upwards of £1000 I’d have thought. Reconditioned power steering racks aren’t dead cheap, and neither is a particularly quick job. 🙁

It’s what I was planning on converting an SKX007

Don’t worry about that dude, I’m all over mod’ing your SKX. NH36, stem and crown ordered, and the tools to do the work myself. What could possibly go wrong?

@Cougar, just close the thread please. As the OP I just hoped that it would be a mild mickey taking diversion, but it’s gone all, you know, “Brexity” 😞

Will be sticking stickers with 12 stars on them on the reverse, before putting any back in to circulation.

Now THAT I like. Are you making your own stickers?

Mooman and hounds, take it to the other thread.

Those Trek ones would worry me if being used on their own, they don’t look to have much in the way of sideways visibility.

I’ve got a Magicshine Alty from PlanetX, nice wrap around front lens and held on with a bracketless rubber strap. Battery life is a bit shorter than I’d like but it’s plenty bright even on its lower setting.

Quite right taxi25! You wear it and enjoy it, and don’t listen to idiots like me. 😁 Jelousy you see.

Without wishing to get bumped to ‘that thread’ (which I’ve really not paid attention to, and it’s a bit late to start now) should I get any of the diversive Brexit 50p’s in change, what’s the most inventive way to deal with them?

Maybe save them up until someone start a rejoin the EU campaign and send them there?

  • For many years I think, certainly didn’t deal with the Halford scheme for long.

that’s just what I was thinking,vi suspect you take a bath buying them new.

Apart from a some Rolexes and Omegas, that’s generally the case isn’t it?

I really like that Rado. Tried one on in Amsterdam this summer, one to look out for second hand I think!
