Lovely dog, looks like mischief is being calculated.

  • Being a supporter of small government he can’t really complain when there are no resources to bring him home from a place that he chose to go.

Complaints that repatriation are taking too long, well the Japanese will insist it’s done lawfully not with the Home Office standard disregard for the rules.

  • @mogrim Sausage was “The Best Thing Evah”, he hasn’t eaten well the last week and that went quickly when broken up.

Today it’s quiet and empty at home 🙁

  • Like woodlikesbikes I was going to suggest the Sculpt Ergonomic Mouse. They are quite a paw filler speaking as a fellow large handed chap, I use one at work too. The work one is losing it’s grippy rubber on the rounded section of my work one, I’m going to get some Thixofix on it to cure that.

  • Microsoft keyboard, use the keyboard system preferences to map the keyboard properly. Keyboard>Input Sources> add british PC to the list and select it. @ over the # works as it should ” becomes shift 2.

  • We had a portion of chips to share between 2 and the dog. Digby had a battered sausage too as he’s due a final vet’s visit at 3:15pm.

    Upper lips are slightly quivery.

Hardhurst Farm used to do a good breakfast, behind the Travellers Rest.

  • must have taken some precision work.

Lake Constance loop tour looks very popular and Mrs Wally needs a gentle route.

Or choose a base (Constance, Lindau, Arbon, Friedrichshafen) and use the ferries to do day trips. If you choose Consatnce the Rheinfalls are just about a day trip away using the train.

Just been through the process on this, offered 25% of my fund value to manage the risk. The advice from the IFA was leave it alone if you don’t like risk as I was around £300k short of being able to replicate the same benefits and safety. My fund value was considerably higher than £500k and it still was too little.

Also consider what happens a…[Read more]

Bodensee to Munich, some lumps, lakes to swim in and castles. Or Bodensee to Salzburg, more of the same plus added Third Reich for a bit of history.

I dunno, maybe for budget airlines to stop with cheap flights, maybe for people to earn less money so they don’t have disposable income for holidays,

All sorted in 2021 when the transition arrangements end, we’re  barely going to afford to feed ourselves due to points based immigration.

Mum turned her face to the wall in 2000 and died 2 days before dad’s 60th birthday. She was ‘fortunate’ that her brain stem cancer had returned and she lasted around a week after refusing medication.

By comparison our dog is scheduled for euthanasia on Friday as his heart is all but finished due to DCM.

I now which is my preference.

A blonde white lady? Special snowflake that might kill herself, must be protected, so drop the case.

Where did anyone say or imply that as I missed it?

avdave2 has hit the nail on the head.  Conservative government policy is to restrict court sitting dates causing a huge backlog, failing to maintain court buildings such that cases have to be…[Read more]

Despite him deciding not to press charges

This is not an option in our criminal justice system, thanks to the Secret Barrister for this knowledge. The CPS gets to decide if the case is ‘in the public interest’ and sometimes does not proceed if they can not reach the threshold set in legislation. (This lack of complainant choice is what lead to the…[Read more]

  • You could try not being so pretentious and caffeine-dependent

    Where’s the fun in that?

Finding a coffee to my taste is part of the fun when abroad.

  • Sandwich replied to the topic Touring in Europe in the forum Bike Forum 6 days ago

Another option may be Danube bike path crossing Vienna and Budapest.

Start up stream of Passau as the German end is well organised, beyond Budapest it gets a bit confused and less enjoyable.

Also have a look at Prague to Dresden and beyond on the Elbe. The Czechia end is a bit variable but once into Saxony it gets much better. The part into…[Read more]

Just having a listen now, the last album is a Master Tape on Tidal and is very bass heavy. Very like Lana del Ray in style.

  • Sandwich replied to the topic New dog naming help in the forum Chat Forum 1 week ago

    Why rename at all?

Good practice just on the off-chance that the intonation of the name induces a previously learned bad behaviour. The previous Dalmatian was Harper when he came to us and was renamed Huxley as he had a biting problem (humans, dogs, fluffy animals, poultry. . .)

It helps make the dog more ‘yours’.
