  • watched tucker and dale vs evil last night thanks to the suggestions on here.

well worth 90 minutes of your time, easy-watching gore-fest…..

  • Yup likewise I was taught to drive in the middle no matter what the weather if the road is clear, especially in the dark.

same, whether its for puddles, animals shooting into the road, anything unexpected it all, its safer to drive in the middle if theres nowt else about. and back onto your own side around corners, brow of hills, basically…[Read more]

not sure i understand the ‘hot water short circuiting’ bit TJ. why would the water flow any different to any other radiator?

    i spose for £80 its worth a gamble…..

    thanks

couple of villas we’ve stayed at over the last few hols have had them, they fascinate me 😀

id love a cute one just for the novelty feature, but we dont have much grass (70m/sq?) and the price just isnt worth it for a ‘toy’.

    great little things tho.

Is that when copper goes green through being wet?

Apparently these are varnished so I’d hope that would nullify the problem….

  • sadexpunk replied to the topic Towel radiators – copper? in the forum Chat Forum 6 days ago

id have guessed so but this one works out cheaper than yer usual DIY stores….

  • wifes seen some chappy making stuff out of copper pipes on one of her facebook groups, towel rails being one such item (22mm and 15mm, brass clips and vents, fully pressure tested etc)

our white one is rusty and looks like a bag of sh1t now, price seems good, im just wondering why they generally dont seem to be made out of copper, you either get…[Read more]

  • thank you very much.

looking like roomzzz is coming out favourite at present, and the convenience of driving plus what looks to be a £10 per night parking charge is looking a better option than £33 on the train (which still isnt a bad price for a return trip for two)

    cheers

  • me and the missus coming up to see a band at the O2 academy early december, so we ought to get a wiggle on and book some accommodation. im guessing a car would be a nightmare so we’ll probs train it in.

is it just the usual travelodge type hotels near the station, or does anyone know of a cheap but nice pad to lay our (sweaty) heads afterwards?…[Read more]

  • interesting video on that CT1 stuff (or alternatives)

ive got a small leak in our roof that our builder mate thinks will be the gully/valley i believe, and says itll need replacing. quoted £1100 + vat for it! :-/

will this stuff be a good bodge do you think? or will the problem be finding exactly where the leaks coming in?

  • pretty bad in lincs, plenty of roads closed and idiots still trying to get through and need rescuing….

out of interest, is there an up-to-date site for road closures anywhere? one of my lads and his mate and girlfriends are flying from birmingham airport in the morning, so A46/A453/A42/M42 to airport parking. any sites for them to look at for…[Read more]

    thought it was perfect.
Maybe go back and watch the dance scene again.
I am not a huge contemporary dance fan but that was a beautiful way of tying up a story.

maybe im just a thickie, didnt understand what was going on 😀
i guessed thered be a meaning to it but just wasnt my cup of tea. unless i get it when you explain it and think ahhhhhh…[Read more]

As examples I love Idles – Joy as an Act of Resistance but have to skip June.

i assume you know the story behind it, and why theyll never play it live. i actually like having a slow, haunting song in the middle of all the noise and never skip it.

well……without spoilers, was that the sh1ttest ending ever?

  • yes he’s been diagnosed borderline personality disorder amongst other things. some of the other diagnoses seem to be related to when he was taking drugs, drug induced psychosis for instance. hes far better when he doesnt take them, fingers crossed thatll be for good.

timely thread, as spookily ive been thinking about just this sort of thing more and more just lately.

dont get me wrong, im happy with my lot, yeah could be better but could be so much worse, but since i watched my dad die of cancer last year, ive thought of death more than ever before. looking at the dog thinking how we’re going to feel when he…[Read more]
