I prefer polarised. I tend to go with a lighter tint and polarised as it takes care of glare and gives you lenses that works in a broader range of light conditions. Not had any issues using them while driving in fact the lack of glare, from say a wet road when the sun comes out, make them ideal.
Simple physics based on the amount of force water can impose on the floor of your car when displaced by your tyres.
If the water you are driving in is deep enough to apply any force to the floor of your car then its a boat you need not a car. Lewis Hamilton at a wet Silverstone excepted
What your posting really is of no help. Its tired and boring generalist nonsense I’m afraid, and you risk categorising people unfairly.
If my light-hearted post on a mountain biking forum has potentially offended any sale reps then I apologise unreservedly.
Sometimes we fail to understand the day-to-day struggles of people in mid range G…[Read more]
Cliches exist for a reason.
I don’t wear a tie, tie’s are very old school and are for Sales grads or retiring sales people.
It’s a bit odd that this is the bit you have an issue with.
and btw I pay road tax – twice
Well that was apropos of nothing but I’m sure the exchequer thanks you for your contribution
To answer the OP, I think the plethora of choices offered by the modern car industry makes it quite hard to narrow down what your typical twunt will actually drive. There are a few categories that I’ve observed though.

I can’t believe no one has said it yet.
The guy is driving a Mini Countryman. We need to organise an angry mob right now. Never mind his driving, buying one of those should be a capital offense.
Not really had an issues with Gumtree.
Sold a set of unused car tyres and got a decent price for them.
Sold my Xbox 360 no problem
Gave away an old table and chairs and a bloke turned up with a van when he said he would.
Bought some second hand garden toys for my daughter
Each transaction was hassle free.
Unless its something that would…[Read more]
Senna’s reputation undoubtedly benefits from being frozen in time, but I think it’s fair to say that there are plenty of moments in his career that demonstrate an uncommon ability and the fact that he was a formidable opponent
Senna is probably the closest rival to Hamilton in terms of ability over a single lap, his pole position record vs sta…[Read more]
Its a stupid system. It means tested but only after paying you the full amount and the only way to claw it back is through a bloody self assessment.
Also the money if very often paid to your partner, unless specified otherwise its by default paid to the mother. So you are having money clawed back that you might not even have seen!
The thing is…[Read more]
The only possible mark against Hamilton is that he has been beaten by his team mates, whereas Schumacher wasn’t. But its not really a fair comparison as Schumacher never raced against drivers of the same quality as Hamilton’s teammates and they often had number 2 status written into their contracts. Hamilton was always on equal terms (as far as…[Read more]
Lego was the answer.
Or if you have an Xbox and are bored with it, find some new stuff on there. Game Pass is £7 a month and there are over 100 games on it. Everything from fun indie platformers, to first person shooters and even strategy games
I’m currently enjoying Stellaris
Bought one of these a few month ago Samsung 55″.
I’m really happy with it, yes you can pay up to double for QLED but for £600 its a great picture. The UI is really slick and the new Samsung TVs come with a really clever universal remote.
If you use Netflix then its worth paying an extra few quid for 4k and HDR its probably the best source of…[Read more]
Had this myself recently with some really old LX Hollowtech II cranks. One of the cinch bolts was rounded out and as it was well recessed inside the crank arm not many of the traditional methods of getting it out would work.
Resorted to hack-sawing past the bolt then bending the shoulder of the crank i’d cut through away from the bolt so it…[Read more]
I’m actually a bit of a Button fanboi (swoons) :-). So its worth looking at the wet weather stats in more detail.
Jenson was indeed another excellent wet weather driver. He actually has the highest ratio of wet start / wins versus dry starts / wins of any driver (he won 7 out of 33 wet races) he won 8 out of 179 dry races. So he was almost five…[Read more]
I think the one outstanding stat was that he has one at least one race in every season he’s been in F1.
His performance in wet and mixed conditions is on another level. He won every wet race for five years between Hungary in 2014, where he got on the podium from a pit lane start, and Germany this year.
Not forgetting that amazing win in 2008 at…[Read more]
