  • Your lad sounds like a cracking lad, I’m sure you’re proud and you’re right to be.

Camp America sounds superb. SHMBO did a year study in the USA and she’s not exactly one of the ‘jocks’ and she loved it so my bet is your lad will thrive on it and be treated well by his new buddies. If he hates it he can come back.

Best of luck whatever he decides.

  • And who might they be? Even just using the term ‘communist’ is pretty daft, as there are very few people who would identify themselves like that these days.

Left the Communist Party after 40 years to join Jezza’s team in 2016:

A vote for “stick with it” from me. As an aside do you often need to go into first from second when moving? Not sure I do but mine’s always empty and I live somewhere flat.

Apropos of nothing. If you do decide to twist I think it’s very unlikely that “we buy an car” would check if it goes into first from second when moving and they find Vans…[Read more]

Perhaps if it was packaged more like ‘you like [insert sport or activity] don’t you? Well, by eating foods like chicken, eggs and vegetables you will get stronger/faster/better’

    I’m nicking this idea. Thanks.

Bear in mind we didn’t have kids at that point… Its a euphemism anyway. The reality and in seriousness point is we got bored and frustrated with the contrived process so reverted to spontaneous romance. Not long after that Mrs K was pregnant. For our second we didn’t revert to any clinical, astronomical or medical process.

    I can’t put it…

At least one of my kids was conceived after 6 pints of Stella & a Kebab aka the pretty normal shagging process

The fact that you know that suggests there wasn’t much shagging going on in your relationship. Which suggests maybe for her it was all about conception even if you didn’t know. (Unless you have 6 pints of Stella & a Kebab every day, in…[Read more]

“The missus has decided” rather than “we have decided” is a bit concerning,

    Concerning, but typical IME.

It’s very much like making love to a beautiful woman.

Very much like, except it’s the wife. 🙂

pray you get an easy one and read this not really understanding the fuss other parents make about a couple of missed hours

When our midwife did a home visit we complained about lack of sleep. Midwife asked how much we were getting. We told her if you added it up we were probably getting 8 hours a night. She laughed.

MAkes life worse ? What the holy F…. Couldn’t be any further from my experience

Obviously whether kids improve your life or make it worse depends on how good/bad your life was before. My life with my kids is fantastic. It’s a constant laugh, we’re always out kayaking/sailing/biking/camping. But my life before kids was also a a constant laugh, and…[Read more]

Another vote for ‘don’t do it from me’.

Mine are ace and I wouldn’t be without them but deffo makes your life far, far worse. (Makes your wife’s life far worse as well, not sure why they can’t see that.)

If it has to happen there are some amazing times so don’t be too despondant, but basically, avoid it.

  • Looks good, thanks for the headsup.

“Hero” is a bit of a loaded term

It’s a bit like VC winners. We expect them to be really nice, but when you read about them in detail the reality is they are often very driven agressive people who really like fighting, that’s why they really get stuck into a war. They’re often not popular and often cause all sorts of trouble in ‘normal’ life whe…[Read more]

  • You do understand that “four day week” is a reference to hours worked, and could be spread over five days

Errr, no I didn’t, I’ve just checked the Manifesto and you’re right. I’ve only heard it described as a four day week for everyone. (And I follow plenty of Labour MPs on Twitter and Labour MPs were describing it as a 4 day week, not as a 32…[Read more]

  • Starmer is going to walk it

Be excellent if he did (for the Party and the Country) but I think the continuity Corbyn candidate will win because:
