He over eggs the denials a bit…fine example when he was going on about a medical condition which meant he didn’t sweat

  • nuke replied to the topic Biased Broadcasting Corporation in the forum Chat Forum 3 days ago

Talk to brexiters and all you get is that bbc is biased towards remainers & lib dems/labour, talk to remainers and its tory biased…BBC cant win. The comments under news articles on the bbc fluctuate wildly too…articles on negative economic uk data gets the whole Project Fear comments going. Personally I’m fine with the bbc and, like any news…[Read more]

  • Ooo, sorry didn’t realise it was the whiteish bead that was your gasket…must have been your dark original photo as thought there was a black gasket line.

Yeah, you really do have tiny gaskets… there’s only so much give in a gasket that big so not sure they could work.

I did do what you’ve done in your second pic but its only where the gasket…[Read more]

  • Got to reiterate what Chris… we’ve had 4 perfect fit blinds from blinds2go & a velux blind and ive been very impressed; quick delivery & the blinds have been great, all fitted perfectly (but i did really take my time measuring them up and following how to measure guide). Also your gaskets dont look about same as our ones

  • Yeah, great spec, even like the colour scheme but still no

  • nuke replied to the topic overnight Parking in Brighton? in the forum Chat Forum 4 days ago

We use to have a flat in Furze Hill…a lot around it were 4 hours only but there were a few that did 11 hours; still means topping up but do-able; we parked in Palmeria Avenue

  • I don’t see swinging the first punch as a reasonable way to respond based on ‘enough was enough’; i don’t think the situation needed to be escalated to fisticuffs.

A result to me in this scenario would have been to get out of there before it escalated further, bully or not. Was this chap really a threat that couldn’t be walked away from? We know…[Read more]

  • On a Seth Rogen tip I thought This Is The End was really underrated,

Yep, we enjoyed this… included on Netflix too

  • nuke replied to the topic Bread makers in the forum Chat Forum 1 week ago

Panasonic here after recommendations on here & Amazon…3 years+ and works a treat. Probably not as good as bread from oven but then it only takes 5 mins to measure ingredients & turn on. Can’t recall having ever had a ‘failed’ loaf.

Depends to a degree on whether you’re a bit of a brand snob or not (Aint judging…plenty guilty of it but i am a fan of a lot of Decathlon kit) but this ticks the boxes for travel, wheel size &…[Read more]

Never had Sky… Freeview with Humax PVR for recording then supplemented with Netflix & NowTV

Accept that I won’t be driving it, find somewhere offroad to stash it for a week?

Personally id do this if i had no intention of using it and could get it collected from where its stashed

However have been using Veygo (Admiral) for my sons learner driver insurance and have been happy with the price & ease of getting a quote/insurance. They a…[Read more]

Nitty Gritty all the way… strangely satisfying combing out the little buggers

  • Still happy with mine and my go to device for activity tracking (Strava). Only bugbear is the ascent measurement for activities as it does come up very low (2/3rds what other devices measure). It does seem a bit of a regular gripe having done a bit of searching but haven’t found a solution although its been a while since i looked.

    With regard…[Read more]

  • nuke replied to the topic E-Bike Obsolescence in the forum Bike Forum 2 weeks ago

As with any new technogy the rate of improvement will result in premature obsolescence.

This for me is my concern… i think this will apply to ebikes in the next decade as the technology develops rapidly as demand increases. I look at it as similar to smartphones in the last decade; who’d go back to a smartphone from 5-10 years ago?

    So really…[Read more]

  • nuke replied to the topic Planet X Helmet issue in the forum Bike Forum 3 weeks ago

It was a fight and i had to dig out the holes of polystyrene before fitting but the visor went on ok & can’t say ive noticed that its out of kilter.

On a side note, its the ‘softest’ helmet ive had… probably explains why its seems light for its size

  • Happy enough with Racing Ralphs front & rear on my 29er with regard balance between grip & rolling resistance but the issue i have is the lightweight equals thin sidewalls which are fragile and squirm when cornering (and yes i have snakeskin version)…a tougher sidewalled version of a RR would be great

Thought the Redlands rule applied to Dorking town: you don’t talk about how good it is 🤫
