Time for an exchange – we could give the US prince trouser snake and they could give us the diplomats wife who ran down the motorcyclist. Win Win.

The establishment will close ranks to protect itself on both counts. The government is already trying to silence the parents of the diplomatic death victim, by charging them legal costs.

Am I right in thinking that these and the dynaplugs leave a sharp pointy object on the inside of the tyre and would render an innertuble useless in a repaired tyre.

  • I have had no problems with it from a technical point of view, but I just can’t get on with the ergonomics of the controller. I think it is something that shimano always had the advantage with mechanical shifters. But with the chance to do something much better on a wireless controller unrestrained by the mechanicals, sram just did something meh.…[Read more]

Yes these things should be private, along with police and teacher (and probably others) misconduct hearings.

Yeah, nothing for us poor little plebs to be concerned about, let them just brush it all under the carpet behind closed doors.

You seem to see nationalisation as some panacea … my own memories of the 70’s are it was far from ideal, so far from ideal it had many Labour voters become Tory’s

The round of nationalisation done in the 70’s was to protect the jobs of failed free market companies. Of course the tories even then were much better at marketing and blame…[Read more]

If only labour had spent the past 3 years making the case to the labour heartlands brexiters that this is a right wing con job that will destroy them not free them.

Correct me if I am wrong?

    You wrong.

Firstly I was responding to your quote that pensions own the majority of companies, which is just so incredibly wrong to be an outright lie.

Secondly, as the freemarket share ownership has failed to deliver shares into the hands of the many as Thatcher era propaganda promised, this policy increases to…[Read more]

As we know a lot of companies are effectively owned by pension funds so this would be another raid on pensions funds. Just like the raid by removing the dividend tax credits.

Want to back that up with some facts?

Pension funds owned 3% of shares in the last ONS figurs. “our” pensions are a spit in the ocean compared to other ownership.…[Read more]

We all lose 10pc of the value of our pensions.

The last figures I saw, “our” pensions represented less than 5% of the stock market. And given that pensions will be by far the biggest investment pot for 95% of people, increasing that ownership to 15% of the market through Government seems perfectly logical and beneficial to society as a…[Read more]

but steroids dont put muscles on chins or increase your skill level

Of course steroids increase skill levels, training 6 hours a day 6 days a week instead of 4 hours a day 4 days a week allows steroid users to massively increase skill levels compared to clean athletes. It is just an omerta myth that claims roids don’t benefit skill sports.

  • That might be fair comment in her case. What’s your excuse?

No need for excuses from me. You on the other hand have dug your own hole and trying to deflect onto me doesn’t unwrite your comments. If you want to convince anyone you are not racist, maybe start by explaining your own statements, I didn’t write them you did.

  • Seriously?

A mother of a murdered son, who battled institutional racism for years just to try and get some justice. Who the authorities treated her like dog shit on a shoe and just tried to wipe off. But through her battles exposed the racism inherent within the institutions of power, who are meant to protect us all but failed so many.

You do know who she is don’t you? I don’t find it at all incredible that her battles in the past have lead her to see racism in places where it isn’t. She is wrong in this…[Read more]

The players who remained on the pitch should keep there heads down and say nothing. Any player can get sent off one or twice in their careers, it’s not like Bertrand has a reputation for rash challenges, not many capitulate on the pitch in that manner.

The social media aspect of strava is pointless if everyone behaves like that.

It is stravas problem to fix, I mark my commutes as such automatically, but that doesn’t mean anything if strava don’t let you hide commutes as an option. I shouldn’t have to log on and change settings after every activity.
