• There are way too many unknowns in the Dalian Atkinson case. What is notable is that the IOPC investigation was concluded Oct 2018 & its took this long for a charging decision.

From close experience the IOPC have a great deal of influence over CPS decision making, far more influence than the Police have when seeking a charging decision. There is…[Read more]

I need one of these – I sleep hot but need something weighty on me. I think it’s a throwback to when I was a kid & we didn’t have duvets or continental quilts, just a shit load of blankets piled high.

I didn’t even know they existed until we spent a few nights in a cottage that had one. Best sleep I’ve had for years.

Train is coming up very close to flying cost wise (we’re Notts).

I’ve driven there loads and don’t mind it that much – flying is easy and quick but when I look at flight times, last time we did this we set off from home at 1.30am in order to get parked and to the terminal in time for a 6.30am flight. The transfer took about 2hrs and we arriv…[Read more]

  • Hello, we’ve recently booked our annual ski trip; going to Les Deux Alpes. Feb half term 😩

We drove last year but flew the year before. I’m just looking at flights and the prices are currently more than double what we paid in the 2017 half term. Does anyone know whether they’re likely to alter much once the ski season starts? I can’t recall…[Read more]

  • Yes please – pics would be good. the Fiat Ducato, Peugeot boxer type has an internal rail that spreads the load but I don’t know about the generic version. I am trying to avoid drilling but if that’s the only way then I’ll have to swallow it.

  • I don’t actually know if I’d need to fabricate any brackets; the best info’ I can get from Fiamma is:

“it is unlikely the profile of the custom door would match the profile of the transporter door”

    Which isn’t particularly helpful.

There is a generic version of the rack that would fit but also involves drilling through the door, which I’d l…[Read more]

  • Fiamma don’t do a specific bike rack for the transit custom with twin rear doors, they only do the Custom version for the big single door like on a Tourneo.

Has anyone fitted or adapted one of the multitude of VW specific racks to fit. As far as I can see the top mounts, which fit over the top edge of the door, will be the main problem.

    Has a…[Read more]
