We saw a cyclist on the M25 the other day, riding clockwise between j9 & 10 I think. Reckon he could have been a continental visitor as he had a full touring kit attached to the bike.
We got off a Leatherhead and saw a traffic cop heading the after him, but apparently didn’t get…[Read more]
I’ve got a SNES Mini – which is hackable to play any SNES game. Love Bomberman.
Also just ordered one of these as recommended by B3ta newsletter –
looks like fun…

I commute in that London, which people seem to think is some sort of death wish.
I’ve been hit by a car (probably 80% my fault, v low speed) and taken a heavy tumble (pedestrian jumping in road). Both of these happened in the first year of me commuting regularly.
I’d like to hope my risk mitigation is a bit better these days.
I have front and…[Read more]
Solar is the way to go.
Wish we’d got one above the stairs now – can get an upgrade kit, but it’s bit faffy to fit.
We have two massive opening skylights in the rear extension on mains power, and the fuse box you need to have near by is painful to my eyes.
We bought from https://www.roofingoutlet.co.uk/ which was the best price at the time.
Scandal or Big Dog.
I’ve just got the Big Dog and I like it.
More spendy bikes I looked at:

Sonder Broken road
Would have got the Sherpa if I could justify the money, but I couldn’t.
Probably not much help but Fox Ranger waterproof trousers are probably the best bit of riding kit I’ve bought for years, however they were expensive (£110), I’ve no doubt I’ll eventually manage to rip or tear them and the legs are tapered so fit is pretty tight. I had doubts about spending that much on riding pants but after a few months of use I’…
Just been for first proper ride on the Big Dog. It’s muddy out. Pic above is 2.4 mountain kings on the stock wheels.
I’ve swapped the shifter and derailleur for XT – about 100 times better than the SX.
The bike feels both planted and fun/flickable. It’s fun to pop of a trail bump…[Read more]
End of the summer last year, went OTB on the most innocuous of drops, rock put a hole in top of my Montaro. Also mashed up my spine, but that’s a different story.
Thought about getting something different, but I just got the same again in a different colour.
I wonder what will inherit the planet after we’ve wiped ourselves out?

Fair Purchase Policy
At Wiggle, we buy from our suppliers with an agreement to sell to private customers. It is not in our business model to sell items in bulk quantities to other retailers or bicycle manufacturers. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel…
I’m getting rid of the TV with Virgin and see what price they will do.
Currently on 200 service, best I can get with BT is 60ish @ £35 ish a month -so would prefer to stay with VM, but not at £52!
Its only now that Brexit is involved that people are jumping on a bandwagon and getting all up tight about the costs.
It’s only now that an “extra” ring being added to a project plan costs money.
If they’d said (at the beginning of the restoration project) “we want to ring the bells on 31st January 2020” then it would have been built in to the…[Read more]
No-one brought up the cost when it was rung on NYE, or armistice day or any of the other times.
Perhaps, because at those times the project team had actually planned for the clapper to be present in the machine and wouldn’t introduce a delay to the already expensive restoration?
I’d rather they spent the money on an MRI scanner or something…[Read more]

thought might be power lines down but the flash really was large….bigger than one might expect from a power line.
I reckon a bit of cloud in the sky and an electric cable would light up nicely…

Averaged at 6.30 door to door with flying. It’s nearly 10 hours drive from Calais to Morzine alone! In fact the best I’ve ever done it was 12 hours door to door & it definitely wasn’t a legal speed.
How are you <span style=”text-decoration: underline;”>averaging</span> 6:30 door to door?
A quick journey to airport – 30 mins
2 hours check in, s…[Read more]
