    Thanks very much guys.

That last bit about Karndean is slightly confusing though – they don’t endorse/approve any plywood product but yet they recommend a type of ply as being suitable… Huh? We’d be getting a ‘proper’ installer to do it anyway, so hopefully they would know how to do it properly.

    Hello,

I wonder if you clever people might have some good ideas…

We have knocked through to make three rooms (breakfast room, pantry/larder thingy and dining room) into a single room kitchen/diner. Those three rooms had three different floors. The dining room has carpet over (what turns out to be) really nice old wood (suspended floor). The…[Read more]

  • When I was hit by a car, the driver’s insurance company contacted me directly and suggested that it was probably best for me to deal with them directly, and not involve any solicitors! Utter bastards!

I was a CTC member though and was in no rush for the cash (since I was in hospital with a broken spine), so I let their solicitors handle it for me.

Yes, thanks guys. I’ve had a slightly leaky gasket for ages (missus!) but not managed to get the whole area apart… will have another go soon!

(Sorry if this is a hijack!)

I’ve tried to get the aluminium lump out of my Classic a couple of times, but it’s pretty stuck. Any tips?

  • Bit from me too…
