How are general road conditions leading to aviemore up the A9? Assume it’s all passable up to the mountain road? I’ve got the camper booked into glenmore for the weekend and hoping to start teaching the kids to snowboard.
We’ve got good heating and plenty of thermals!

Reply to: speccie enduro upgrading shock
I was planning an upgrade from 26 to 650b on my 2013 enduro as I had the chance to get new seat/chain stays and yoke. I bought a CCDB inline to run 650b and ran it on the bike in 26 mode without any problems at all. The shock is shorter eye to eye marginally so slackened the HA very slightly.
In the end I went for a new 650 enduro as the deal for the parts fell through. I had the option of Monarch debonair or inline on the new frame and stayed with the CCDB. no problems with it at all.
If i remember correctly the E29 and 650 have the same shock size.
Drop me a line if you are interested in an inline as I have a spare brand new one that I could part with.Posted 4 years ago | Go to post

I’ve recently spotted Adidas cross trails. Since Adidas bought five ten they have access to the stealth rubber and have I think the Adidas show looks great. Can’t comment on real life use though. Got a pair on order so hopefully have feed back soon.Posted 4 years ago | Go to post
Does anyone have recommendations for a place to park up a motorhome in the summer so that we can ski a glacier in the mornings and ride bikes in the afternoons?
Looking to take the family this summer and plan to do a a week or so ski/biking and then relocate over to Northern Spain.Posted 4 years ago | Go to post
I can 100% recommend Dan at pws coatings. It’s a fair way from you but you’ll have to ship it somewhere.
He charges about £80 plus powder so not the cheapest but in my experience he’s been the best.
Chose one of the extraordinary number of powders from prismatic and order from their website, send the powder with your frame and it will come back better than new.Posted 5 years ago | Go to post

about 3 turns from the end of spooky there’s a trail that leads you down to the start of betty blue, there’s even an option to take you a little bit further into betty blue, that could lead you into the new exit above and into broon trout. from there it’s pretty easy transition over to double x and the bitch from the EWS course.
I don’t know but just guessing.
From the pond you could follow the ews route back to ho chi min.Posted 5 years ago | Go to post

Not sure of it’s name. Drop in to a right hander through a few bushes, slightly off camber and rooty, it’s then in a single track trail down through a recently harvested section and traverse over, the traverse is pretty sludgy and will be a real pain come the weekend, hrough some deep plantation ruts onto the fire road. Sprint along the fire road for 50m and then left into a steep chute, turning right over a big ol exposed root, lots more plantation ruts before joining up with the steep stuff.Posted 5 years ago | Go to post
Reply to: Spesh enduro 2013 – Will i like it?
I had a stumpy evo and moved to the enduro. The stumpy is a spectacular bike and brilliant fun on the trail. The enduro is a 2013 sworks (same as dan45a) and is completely different to the stumpy downhill but pretty close going up.Posted 6 years ago | Go to post
Salsa say the vaya is only good for a road chainset?
Budget hasn’t been considered really. I’m trying to use parts that i already have for the build so £500 max for frame and fork I reckon.Posted 6 years ago | Go to post
