Sorry it must have been someone else who said

The most I’ve admired from this thread within the exception of one or two is how we’ve all generally been in support of NH sides

My point I guess is that anyone with a decent moral fibre and some intelligence might recognise a talent or good performance from any man/woman/team regardless of their nationality *shrugs*

But only so long as they are from the same hemisphere? And preferably from Europe. But not France, obviously. Or Italy.

And if you have a choice…[Read more]

Although, just out of interest, Kryton, would you say you’re a strong supporter of the birther movement?

The most I’ve admired from this thread within the exception of one or two is how we’ve all generally been in support of NH sides and thier performances that are not our own. Then of course, there’s the ignorant ones that stand out in the crowd.

Can you maybe explain how we should determine which team to support? Is it purely distance based…[Read more]

  • I’ve taken my kids on loads of marches and protests, and encouraged them to do the climate school strikes. Does that mean I’m a bad parent?

Did you actively goad Brexiteers/Climate change deniers beforehand in the hope that they would abuse your kids to generate tabloid headlines?

    If so, yes.

Same as people the world over have historically dealt with wars, plague, famine and brutal dictatorships. Oh, we don’t have those here at the moment…. So maybe kids in the UK could think they are bloody lucky and stay off the drugs before they wreck themselves and their families?

We are at a unique point in history where, if we were so inc…[Read more]

  • Diane Abbott can’t leave her skin colour at home.

  • Apart from the bit where you said JRM could’ve done more? That’s essentially you saying it was JRMS fault for putting his son in that environment, when it’s clearly the fault of those shouting at his son. No one should be abused, verbally or otherwise, not Children, not women, and not even JRM.

He and his colleagues use language speci…[Read more]

  • Widely shared on social media. JRM jnr wasn’t the recipient of abuse from what I’ve seen, but it’s absolutely not right for anyone to involve an MP’s family. JRM could’ve parked in the designated (and policed) car park under the HoP, but he chose not to. Likewise, JRM turned up to the HoC today via chauffeur driven car which he could’ve…

  • As for JRM, he made a point of walking to the HoC with his son in tow, not using the Westminster car park. That does not in any way mean that individuals had any right to hurl abuse at a twelve year old boy, but I believe that JRM could’ve done more to have shielded his son from protests.

Haven’t seen it. Was his son getting abuse or was he j…[Read more]

France really had to work to throw that away.

  • BruceWee replied to the topic Rugby World Cup Thread 2019 in the forum Chat Forum 2 days ago

I haven’t heard much about this week’s French revolution. Did the players rise up and overthrow their coaching oppressors in the end?

    Cheika quits

Wonder if there’s any truth to the rumour about Dave Rennie being the target. Wonder what his future employers will make of Glasgow’s performances.

  • Were there any Tory rebels?

  • Well done Labour – yet again “magic grandad’s useless brexit enablers” block another critical Government move.

In this case I think we can thank the DUP rather than Corbyn. If it wasn’t for them then Letwin would have been defeated and the deal voted through today.

The deal would have been voted through without the amendment to put it to a pe…[Read more]

One thing that irritates me is all these catch-alls that people like to throw about as helping when it is simply not true for everyone. Talk about it. whatever you do make sure you don’t sit at home get out and do something.

If I talk about it it sends me spinning out completely. I work myself into a worse and worse state until I feel like I’m…[Read more]

  • Do you agree there’s a red Unicorn just around the corner?

  • No I will blame him for:

Three line whipping to trigger A50
Three line whipping against remaining in the single market and customs union
And the final nail in the coffin, doing his best to kill a 2nd referendum that could put this to bed once and for all.

  • They’ve clearly come to the conclusion that they don’t have the numbers to get a 2nd vote through, so it’s not worth the risk of letting the deal go through.

They thought they would have the numbers until Corbyn came out against it. Cheers for that.

  • The peoples vote campaign are saying there shouldn’t be a 2nd vote amendment.

Yes, after Corbyn came out against it. If he backed it MPs would be voting on it on Saturday. He doesn’t want it to be put to the people.

The whole reason an amendment is being held back is so that MPs can demonstrate their clear opposition to the deal.

    Yes and t…[Read more]
