  • It all sounds inhuman.

The couple criticised conditions at the new hospital, saying David and Sally only had a small basin and paper towels to clean themselves with no wi-fi access, and “neither of them can eat the food”

Trying to give him rice not chips?

    Was it Graham Norton’s?

  • Apparent long history of DV, too.

    What a prince.

  • You know how we got upset about the death of Caroline Flack?

    Did we?

  • AC set the tone with me when they recommended an aircon gas change as it “would have got bacteria in it”

The service manage actually looked offended when I laughed at him.

It’s a grim reminder that no matter how big a company is, they can’t be allowed to certify their own work.

The FAA should take as much of the blame as Boeing; letting them get away with obviously lax quality standards for so long is a serious lapse of an oversight body.

I struggle to believe this sort of thing will be confined to the 737 Max.…[Read more]

  • I tried a Hero 8 on holiday and the stabilisation was great; but I ended up with a Hero 7 Black.

The stability is 95% there, the wobbly 8 mount was not the great leap forward I thought it was going to be, and the new 8 battery is not the same as the older models which is an irritation.

The trade in price of the 8 is currently awesome, but the…[Read more]

You have to have a wry smile at zanelad having a go with ‘people like you pushed her to it’ (with extra invective,) while having a similar internet pile-on just like he is complaining about.

    It’s the circular interweb, innit?

Jeff Banks aren’t bad, especially if you are near a store in an outlet village.

Avoid the ‘stvdio’ range; that’s for children and narrow back scrawns with legs like matchsticks.

  • HK is basically resuming normal activity,

My wife mentioned that yesterday watching Jason Bourne.

Hong Long has loads of riots against China, then goes into lockdown after dodgy sniffles bug comes out.

    Co-incidence?

Where’s JHJ when you need some evidence? He must have a pic of someone shaking hands.

The UK has an odd taboo which is you can’t say anything bad about recently dead people.

I think it’s more the disconnect between slebs and real people. If it was someone you knew you would be a bit more likely to remember they are actually people who have relatives who care about them, and you may have a smidge of empathy.

Rossendale? Kids have been skiing this morning and it’s just ‘a bit wet’

I came down from Cragg Quarry yesterday afternoon and i was blown all over the place. It’s not that bad here just yet.

  • According to kuco’s post above, they have.

I’d agree with most of the others; it’s not a pleasant experience you should seek out, but compared to toothache it’s nothing to stress about.

With a good dentist it’s uncomfortable not agonising. I’ve had worse pain when the dentist has cleaned my teeth!

  • It’s complicated, that’s why fuel and cars are separated out to try and get some clarity.

It’s worth noting that if HMRC come sniffing, it’s not the company that will be stung for unpaid tax, it’ll be the driver.

So the propshaft also unbolted itself cleanly from all four bolts on the diff drive flange?

You must be looking at a different picture. The propshaft yoke is still there, busted.

It isn’t a flange yoke (f’nar), is that what you are thinking of?

The leaf spring were still visible on the car; sort of attached.

Someone has modded the cage underneath. But when you look closely it’s surprising how many of the adventure cars have a sump guard or similar under body protection.

    Understandably.

And I don’t believe the reaction (from all) was faked.

to personally slag them off in public actually takes us down a dangerous route.

Not really. The numbers of Lakeland wanderers who need rescuing because ‘it’s gone dark’ is staggering.

And it goes dark every day, so you wouldn’t think it would be a surprise.

    Can we just accept that

Not really. In days gone by Darwinism would have sorted this out. They are just making the gene pool worse.

    Have they not seen Idiocracy?
