Some do, some don’t.
sometimes “design language” doesn’t translate through different models. e.g. the Bronson looks well balanced, the Megatower looks pregnant.
See also big fat downtubes being carried over onto XC bikes with 32mm forks and 2.1inch tyres.
I think that one looks pretty good. Poles, I think they look broken.

A colleague tried to move just before the birth.
The stress of moving induced a premature birth.
Joking aside – early enough to spend a week in the premature baby unit, not early enough to have any long lasting problems.

Have the charge spoon on the MTB, fine without padded shorts [for me]. completed the south downs way in a day using this set up.
A stiff road bike may be a different proposition though.
Did it at Xmas – similarly wet/rainy in the air, although no Yorkshire flooding like there is now.
Did the red and black. The bottom bit of the black had some mud and puddles, and i took the chicken line down the drop/roll off at the start of the black.
Cant really recall any puddles or bogs on the red trail.
Think I finished it less dirty than…[Read more]
While there’s some environmental points well made already, I’d also like to call out anyone with 3 or more kids (and anyone with kids and since separated and living apart from their kid’s other parent) who is complaining about the building of new housing.
All the good bits of land are already taken. I work in the Thames basin, Thames Water are…[Read more]

AM9 Extra Large
Seat angle 65, stack 632 which is only a pair of spacers away from your ideal.
With the original linkage and an air shock they feel like a long wheelbase trail bike – based on riding my friend’s. (As opposed to the new linkage or coil shock to give you the bottomless enduro…[Read more]

Just been over to the homepage of the Sun.
9 out of the first 20 articles are about Caroline Flack or related to her suicide.
As mentioned above, the articles harassing her have been hidden or deleted.

would probably be bang on average LLS 2020 all mountain bike going purely by the numbers.
I don’t thing things have gotten that long quite yet.
Have a go on a Bird if you can. I had a fairly brief play and yes it’s amazingly capable (I’m 6ft and was riding the 500mm reach L version), but it’s a different feeling to riding a more normal…
I know I’m a Bird fanboi, but original Aeris?
140 or 150 travel, suited to 140 to 160 fork, 142 rear axle. At the time it was pushing the edge of long and low, would probably be bang on average LLS 2020 all mountain bike going purely by the numbers.
Only bike I regret getting rid of.
Transferable warranty too. Sure I saw a frame with shock up…[Read more]
Its pretty and takes a water bottle – meets my criteria.
Now this is up to 150mm, how big is the patrol going to be?
Anybody done this or researched it?
What happens to the key handling stats of head angle, BB height? And to a lesser extent reach and wheelbase.
I know the true test is “do I like the way it rides?” but these are more the idle musings of a bored man watching the February rains than a plan of action.
I find the confusing mixture of high school America with Wye valley setting, modern technology with 1980’s corner shop scenes all very enjoyable.
Its either some attempt at not dating/locating the show or theres some very deep level (tarantino level deep) references to historic TV and movies going on that I’m not getting.
Either way its a g…[Read more]

Admittedly not my area of interest but, I recall they put a 29er fork on the V10 a good hour before the competition rolled out a proper 29er DH bike** but I don’t really remember anything else which has been shouted about.

They jumped on 650b fairly early with the Solo (as was) and the Bronson. That was 7 years ago, mind.
No earlier than anyone else though?
maybe it was just the timing as it was not long after I started mtbing seriously – but to me the original Bronson defined a genre that we now take for granted.
I’m not saying they were completely first, but…[Read more]
Some lunacy from the Stooge Insta
Beautiful klunker homage – proper desktop wallpaper shot. Looks like it would be horrendous for anything other than downhill fireroad bombing with that build/setup though.
Huh. How long ago was that? I’d be curious to know what the issue is given that speed cameras, bus lane cameras etc are prevalent.
