  • I have swapped from a 50/34 chainset to GRX600 46/30 and used an R8000 front mech. It coped with the GRX chainrings being 2.5mm further out without issue. Shifts perfectly.

I did have a problem moving the front mech down the seat tube to fit the smaller big ring due to a bottle boss exactly where I wanted the mech clamp to go so swapped the mech…[Read more]

  • I do wonder if this is more about the press than actually H & M. So much coverage its bonkers and so toxic as well, even in the posher, more “respectable” papers. Seemingly more coverage than paedo Andy. But then the press dont really have Corbyn to go after and no obvious target whilst the labour leadership is winding up. I guess it also…[Read more]

This is just me howling through a load-hailer into a shipping container as I watch the Corbynite lefty morons deliver us 20+ years of Tory rule

No. Just popped back on this thread to have a look and its depressing. I find myself completely in agreement with everything you have said.

Im not inspired by any of the candidates to be honest.

  • @hugealias sent you a message 😀

  • Nothing to add to this except I have a Broken Road and a Stanton Sherpa. Both XL and in Berkshire if you want to try them. The Sherpa is the best steel hardtail I have ridden for fit and ride quality. Sadly its a mk1 so vertical drop outs only and I cant abide tensioners personally and havent used a tensioner for over 10 years. Shame as if it was…[Read more]

  • Its probably 10 speed AW. You can get 11 speed freehubs for Pro2 evo, but they are aftermarket replacements. 11 speed freehubs are shipped as stock on Pro4. Pop round with it if a problem.

Every time that prick opens his mouth

That “prick” won 3 elections. Only idiots wont listen to what Blair, Campbell and Mandelson have to say. Some of it might be guff, but a lot makes sense however untrendy it is.

But we’ve had Universal Credit, PIP, food banks, rising homeless already and they romped home. Most people appear to now have an “I’m alright Jack” attitude.

I am not so sure. I think fundamentally Labour lost as people saw Corbyn was incompetant and the Labour manifesto ridiculous.

Of all the current contenders Yvette Cooper seems to be the…[Read more]

  • In my experience it works fine. You might need a couple of extra links so the cage works a bit more effectively in the big ring.

For a larger big sprocket a medium cage will still be fine. I use a medium cage XT 11 speed on my 11-46t 10 speed. That mech may not cope with larger than 42t depending on your particular bike, but you could add a goat…[Read more]

I agree Flashie, the problem is that Momentum / McCluskey dont think they have done anything wrong. Until they accept they are the problem, Labour will continue to fail. RLB will be leader for a long time sadly.

  • Andy replied to the topic New Labour leader/ direction in the forum Chat Forum 1 month ago

andyrm agreed. Unfortunately Momentum don’t see it this way. They think they have vibrantly captured peoples hearts…. 1983 all over.

Does she have less baggage though?

If she is quoting clause4 then no. Still stuck in the old mould. Labour need to accept that their traditional approach is broken. Its not about traditional class divisions any more its about understanding frustrations and being able to offer solutions to appeal. Whether it be “Get Brexit done” or Scottish…[Read more]

Rebecca Long-Bailey is obviously Corbyn and MacDonalds choice and why they havent walked already. She is the MiniCorb in waiting.

As much as I like her I do worry that its just a repeat of the left wing of the party making the same mistakes. RLB quoted clause 4 at the labour party conference and said “It may not be on the back of our membership…[Read more]

I dont think you need the tool for H2 type bearings. I just put the cup in the freezer overnight and then put it in a cup bearing side down and poor boiling water on it. Take out the cup and the bearing should just drop out. If it doesnt tap it on the table a couple of times.

To fit a new bearing I use the old bearing to press in the new in a vice.

Are any of you Corbynites going to actually voice a defence of your messiah?

Or are you just going to abuse those of us pointing out the obvious?

Agreed. This result is horrific for a traditional Labour supporter like me but entirely predictable and Corbyn/Momentum need to own this and not just blame it on the horrible tory…[Read more]
