Light & Motion announces Vibe series of lights

We are seeing increasing numbers of bright “be seen” lights coming out from manufacturers. Aimed at making riders more visible on the road, many are now intended to be used as daytime lights, in a similar way to motorcycles are lit.
Light & Motion has announced the launch of the new Vibe series, a lighting concept built around delivering safety to urban riders.

Minimalist

Over to them to give us the lowdown, but we like the idea of using smart sensors to extend battery life:

The lights are button-free and feature smart sensors that recognise motion and automatically turn on and off meaning they start the ride with you and stop when you stop. Both have powerful, variable pulses designed for maximum visibility to other road users whether its day or night. The Vibe Pro HL (headlight), even senses ambient light and knowns to pulse in the daytime but remain steady at night, automatically adjusting to the safest mode possible.
Both have been designed with ease of use in mind. They secure to a handlebar or seatpost with a quarter turn that locks the unit in place and activates the smart sensors. It also means that you can take them off the mounts to charge them, but fit them again super quickly when you need to. The cable-free interface charges in a USB port in 120mins, so plenty of time to charge them at work ready to ride home again.

There is no mention of Garmin mount compatibility in the press release, but we love the look of this

Another useful feature is the mount itself. A lot of seatposts have to fit lights in around other accessories or simply don’t have enough room, but the Vibe PRO TL’s low-profile mount fits in noticeably less space than a conventional rear light, leaving you room for that saddlebag. There’s also an optional seat rail mount which allows the light to be mounted directly under the saddle.
All lights in the Vibe series are IP67 rated, meaning they are completely waterproof when inserted into the mount. They can be submerged up to one metre without issue, making them lights that won’t fail even in the worst weather.
Teeny, but packs a punch
