In case you hadn’t realised, #crossiscoming. The evenings are already beginning to draw in, and the most cursory glimpse at the calendar reveals not too many days left in August. While the rest of the nation desperately cling on to the fading glory of summer, a bunch of weirdos select few are breaking out tins of tub glue and practicing intervals and remounts in the local park.
The Yorkshire Cyclocross League is the well attended local series for many of the UK-based grit.cx team. It’s therefore great to hear that they are receiving sponsorship support from Kinesis UK. Here’s the full press release, but we are already looking forward to the neutral pressure washers. No more chipping off dried mud from a sorry looking bike after the long drive home…
“We are pleased to announce our title sponsorship of the Kinesis UK Yorkshire Cyclo Cross league.
As part of Kinesis’ commitment to supporting both grass roots racing and riding, as well as elite level racers we have taken on title sponsorship of one of the oldest and biggest racing leagues in the UK.
We will be offering frames to series winners – the Crosslight 5T disc as riders battle it out to win the overall!
And a first for UK CX we will be offering neutral washing support: Commercial Kinesis Pressure washers made for CX by Aqua Clean Industrial will be available to all riders to use provided they bring water along to races, this station will be monitored and maintained at every round by a Kinesis UK representative to look after them during the course of the muddiest races. There will also be a stock of mech hangers ready to fit to any Kinesis frame should riders on our bikes have a problem!
