My typical season starts differently to most riders; the 3 Peaks dominates training and prep. With that in mind, the same, stiff shoes I use for pounding round the muddy 1hr + 1 lap races are never appropriate. Too much time is spent on your feet in the 3 Peaks and a more compliant and forgiving sole and upper is the name of the game. A full test coming soon.
An all-rounder: The Crossride SL Elite is not a dedicated ‘cross shoe, but a comfortable mountain bike shoe is sometimes required for longer days out.
