Dropper post on a cyclocross bike? Sure! Especially if you would like to have a more pleasant experience racing/riding the 3 Peaks (UK) in late September or Iron Cross (US) in October. The backsides of each of the three peaks can be quite gnarly, and dropping the saddle a couple of inches will make such descents much more sensible.
The LEV Carbon post from KS is a short travel dropper post that offers just enough drop to give you the ability for more control. Its 65mm of travel is infinitely adjustable, and KS’s own Recourse Ultralight cable system weighs as much as 28g less than standard shifter cables and housing. A molded carbon fiber head (with titanium adjuster bolts) sits atop a carbon fiber mast, which sits inside an anodized aluminum tube. The LEV is available in two models: internal and external cable, and comes in 30.9mm and 31.6mm diameters. Its weights sits at between 452 and 466 grams.
