Cube has a great reputation for great value – and with the Cross Race Disc pro we spotted at Eurobike, thats about to go through the roof.
Before we get onto the price its worth drinking in the bike itself and the spec. Tapered steerer carbon fork, Double butted, formed tube alloy frame, Mavic Aksium Disc wheels, Full Ultegra groupset, Hydraulic – yep the proper hydro brakes – RS-785 discs, Schwalbe Rocket Ron folding tyres and the finishing kit – although branded Cube – is actually made by Sytntace. It has the makings of a top flight race bike. When you bring the price to the party – it gets a bit silly.
So what does it cost then? Sitting down? £1399. Yep, thirteen hundred and ninety nine sniffs, for all that! Looking at the numbers, the layout of the geometry looks pretty good too. We think this might just have been the standout – real world cross racers – bike of the show. We reckon your going to have to be quick to get hold of one of these – they’ll be flying out the doors of your local Cube dealer. Fingers crossed we get in quick enough with our test bike request.
To wet your appetite some more, have a little gallery of the details.
And there’s more: if you cant quite stretch to Ultegra, there’s the Cross Race Disc. Same frame and Fork, Fulcrum 77 CX, Shimano mechanical discs and a full 105 – 5700 groupset for just £999.99. A canti braked Cross Race version will be available for £899.99 too. Bonkers.

That does seem good value, I have the 2013 model with 105 groupset that cost the same. Is the frame the same between the different models?!
