    Nope, definitely bike forum.

Assuming you have a turbo trainer already, you’ll need either a bluetooth speed/cadence sensor (not sure if these even exist) or an ANT+ adaptor for your iDevice. Last time I looked you could get cheapo Chinese ones on ebay for sub £20.

(I’m also assuming zwift works like trainerroad on iDevices)

So i basically need a standard turbo with a speed/cadence sensor which can connect upto my device and bingo ??

    Can’t be done.

The iPad/android app is a companion app to the desktop main programme – so the actual riding is shown on your TV/monitor from your PC/Mac but you can type messages, switch views, take pictures and check out profiles from your mobile device which is closer to hand.

So to get it working you need:

    PC/Mac
    Ant+ adaptor
Supported turbo trainer (dumb or smart)
    Speed/cadence sensor

And you control it from your keyboard or add the mobile device to the mix (and a Bluetooth adaptor for your PC/Mac if it doesn’t have one built in) and use that as the remote control.
