Generally I type how I speak. For example, “owt” and “nowt” aren’t correct English, but they creep into my typing sometimes. So, I’d like to attribute that one to colloquial language rather than ignorance if I may.
I don’t profess to having perfect language skills, point is that I wouldn’t write a half-storey banner sign with the same abandon that I’d write a post on a forum.
You’ve got to be kidding. Of all the worlds trouble and strife, the odd spelling mistake “makes your blood boil”. You’ve obviously got little else to worry about. 😕

Incidentally, this forum will not let you say ‘Summ-at’ (without the dash…) as in when you say,’I want a cup of tea or summ-at’, It auto-corrects it to ‘Something’.. Highly annoying when one is trying to use colloakculloqucolloquie ways that regional people speak.
I have no idea ernesto, people definitely appear to be quite proud if it, especially if they can’t be ar5ed improve and react against corrections so strongly.
The Americanisation of the language would indicate an element of coolness too.
1) Never ! – I don’t like the way it looks (exclamation marks, even worse)
2) Your 😐 lucky you got one at the start
3) That was what passes for a joke in my house 🙁
4) C.B.A.
I haven’t got time to slow down. Double-dip recession, people using your and you’re in the wrong context ….. too many issues to sort out and too little time.
You should have put “your” and “you’re” in quotes.
Why ? I wasn’t quoting anyone.
Besides, I don’t like using quotation marks on my keyboard, they are incorrect – I like to have my 66 in the front and my 99 in the back. I blame falling standards and the nanny state.

In this day and age if people can understand what’s written then it probably doesn’t really matter about spelling, grammar and punctuation. Having said that, I’m a pedant and think that spelling, punctuation and grammar is important 🙂
Alpin, please start your sentences with a capital letter. Also, please ensure you use a capital letter to denote the proper name of the English language in future.
