    Me in 1996 in a friends rented a mid-city apartment which had become for sale – “Buying this would be ridiculous, apartment prices here are as high as they are ever going to be“.
    I have since seen apartments in same building being sold for 6-7 times the price they were asking.

    That car facing me on the opposite side of the road is indicating to turn right and has come to a standstill waiting for me pass before he turns into the side road…………

    …. followed by at about 10 feet between us…..

    …a rev of the engine a squeal of tyre ……and I have T-boned him at 20 mph.  ****er.

    Me at school in 1984 not taking the optional  computer science O level, because I didn’t think computers were going to catch on.

    Me, the first time I saw the internet through a browser – like you are doing now, rather than the text command line – I said there was little use or purpose for it as it was nothing but an online Yellow Pages* showing adverts. This was before web pages were much more than a collage of static images and text but still…

    Withdrew £5k of shares in Nvidia in 2021, using them for a house purchase but also thinking the covid-induced demand for graphics cards had peaked.

    I didnt reallyyy need them to make up the minimum deposit and they’d be worth ~£35k now.
