For those in long term relationships, what percentage of it is about love vs. lust?

Lust all the way. I’m a sociopath and incapable of love. Apparently.

Hmmm.. I’ve been with my wife for fifteen years and married for four so hopefully long term enough to answer.

Lust and intimacy help sustain love, but (speaking as a sex-starved couple with a young baby) they are not everything 😀

percentage? WTF? take it you’re not getting any then Al?

Joking aside, lust gets you together, love keeps you together.

That’s what Al’s mum told me last time I banged her anyway.

That may just be a line she uses, she told me the same thing.

Glad I’ve gotten over my rage over “your mum” jokes!

Just curious GW, sex can be about either and is usually about a bit of both.

All i know is after 18 yrs, whenever i see my g’f i still want f*ck the sh!t out of her, even when she’s not wearing her sh@gging tackle.
So that must be love with a hint of freaky lust.

I have been going out with my wife for 18 years now and married for 15.

Thinking about it now, the love/lust ratio can vary over time. Most of the time they vary gradually, but you can have some big shocks to the system at time, e.g. children, serious illness, etc.

There must be some sort of male lust cycle as well because it can wax and wane over time.

At the moment I seem to be going up a rather large peak and it is good fun 🙂

If you lust after it with them, you love them as a partner.
If you love them more than you lust after them, you love them as a friend.

If the lust dies the love has changed meaning.

    lust/love% = +70%/-30%

    IMHO

Well, if 4 years is considered a long term relationship, my Yeti still gets a regular good seeing to 🙂

your asking for a percentage so I will give you one….

Been together 8 yrs two kids so **** loooonnnngg term and its a combo or love v lust in that order.

Love first with 80% and in at 20% lust – these numbers are due to only having 20% or the year to have fun go our get pished and have sex that way – the other 80% is married sex!

Yeah, that’s nice as well, but happens less as you are married for longer
