Anyone else find that their X01/XX1/GX Eagle setup is noisier on rough trails.

-I’ve elimated chainslap on the chainstay, velcro rather than the harder spesh chainstay guard.
-Pulled the chain guide off, so no potential source there.
-Chain is as short as I dare go

Can replicate the noise statically if you release the chain tension with the button on the deraileur and swing the mech back and forward. Sounds like the B-Tension screw is smacking the mech hanger?

Have a spare mech to try to see if it dissapears.

Anyone else have any ideas?

Clutch blown? It happens – see whether the arm throws forward when pushed. It should be pretty solid.

Cheers Ben. Never found eagle mechs to much resistance to start with, will have a play later. Shame you can’t modify them the same way as the 2.1 11spd stuff 🙁
