Can’t speak for a cross boss but the 40c Nano does a great job of being fast on tarmac and grippy on dirt. One of my pair is a bit weepy with stans goop but went up tubeless easily.

On-One Gravel Roads 40c are also a good shout and a fair bit cheaper!

Looking to upgrade my “gravel/adventure” bike to a more grippier winter tyre.
Read some reviews on the WTB Nano and Cross Boss.
Mostly used for commuting but like to mix it up with roads, paths and gravel sections to make it more interesting.
Thinking of 40c Nano’s or 35c Cross Boss.
    Currently running Giant P-RX2 700x35mm.

Anyone have any views on which is the better/more suitable tyre?

Went from nano to cross boss and cross boss little less volume but much gripper in mud and generally better off road and seems just as good on the road.
    Both go up easy tubeless

    I’d go Cross Boss winter.
I’ve not used the Nanos but swapped from a Gravel Road on the rear due to lack of grip on anything soft and wet.

Still on a Gravel Road on the front though as it bites OK when cornering and the additional volume is welcome!
