I enjoyed that. I’ve ridden plenty at Rivi but Strava says that I’ve never done 90% of what we did tonight.

its a sensitive [foot]pah and best avoided unless very dry or very frozen as damage is done, it’s not much fun and there are better options available

To be fair Junkyard it was all pretty/very dry until that point and its boggyness caught us all out – but as you say there are other options.

So there is another route from Rivington Road up to Great Hill ? Never knew it.

If anyone can show it on a map or Strava then that would be useful.

My only successful attempt at ascending Great Hill has been from Brinscal, and half of it is a road, the other half an easy bridleway(but with exceptional views over the moorland).

If you cross rivvy to Belmont n look left you will see the paths
