You can also self-refer through this website – https://beta.nhs.uk/find-a-psychological-therapies-service/check

Have had a first session of CBT counselling and can only recommend it.
(But why can’t I tell my boss, that’s what I’m doing?!)

Thanks for posting that link DezB. Over the last few months my anxiety has been worsening and panic attacks have been setting back in. I’ve been putting off going back to the Dr’s (I don’t know why, laziness perhaps) but I’ve just self-referred using that link, I didn’t know you could do that, so again, thank you

another who has used cbt successfully. I personally wouldn’t tell an employer you are going.Doubt they will want to support you are will see you as a worst employee. Be nice to see I am wrong though.

Another user of CBT, its helping me understand it all and why its happening…….BUT the one thing I still cant do is tell my family and friends, simple answer is that I am ashamed of it all. 🙁

My anxiety has been caused by an attachment disorder making it a very lonely place to be in…..however its great to see that the message of ‘Mental Health’ is getting out there!
