Because of course dozens of people have been killed by joggers…

Well – on Taggart its always a jogger that ‘discovers’ the bodies.

No smoke without fire I reckon.

I think he’s able to prove he was in the US rather than simply ‘claiming’ it. Comes as cold comfort for him though as someone obviously

a) thought he looked a bit like the fuzzy CCTV image
b) know that he’s a jogger*
c) thought ‘well, he is the sort of person who’d shove some woman under a bus’*

So it might not be true that he did it, but its clearly truthy enough for some of his friends and colleagues 🙂
