I have an o2 box which is connected to a home powerline ethernet adaptor kit, which is then connected to the pc.

I have just added a linksys wireless router, but I cant get the internet through it, am I missing something ?

I had a great deal of pain getting my linksys router to work.

Follow the instructions to the letter they provide. However even after being setup correctly – When I switch the router off, or I lose connection at home I have to reset and renew the DCHP to getting it working again in the settings menu on router config. I have no idea why it requires this each time to work, but it does!

    Well you did ask 😉

My guess is that you've got the router set to a static IP address.

Instead set it so that it is assigned an address via DHCP on the O2 box (you'll probably have to connect to the router via a cable to get into the settings).

Set the O2 box to always assign the same address for that the router's MAC to save confusion.

Then check you can ping the router at that address from your PC.
