    Mud-X

Most people are going to recommend Mud X or Specialised Storms, but I’m dot sure that there is a need for anything more than a Panaracer Fire XC pro in all but the absolute worst conditions.
You haven’t said what type of riding you do, or where…

DS have you just returned from Spain? You’ve obviously spent too long out there… 😉

Mud-X for one the rain starts regularly (not here yet), though I’m going to see how long my Nobby Nic are good for, first.

Something made of rubber, with a deep coarse roughness – or “knobbliness” – to the tread surface.

Bonty Mud X if your local trails have any mud on them.

Panaracer Trailraker if you ride exclusively through mud.

get Mud-X…..you can use them in pretty much all conditions less really dry hard-pack. Way better than Trailrakers, terrific in proper gloop but not draggy. Pretty good over rocks and roots too in the wet.

Mud X for years now running Spesh Storm , they seem very similiar if not slightly better.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I really don’t know what I’m talking about. 😛
I do get confused when I have to clean all sorts of clag off the bike and people talk about the beautifully dry conditions. 😯
Can it really be that bad?

There’s never a need for a Fire XC Pro in ANY conditions.

    Awful tyre.

Maxxis Swampthing front, Mud-X rear (although I may try and Spesh storm on the rear this winter.

Works for me on South Downs chalk and muddy loamy woodland singletrack.

Same as the summer (small block 8’s) but with less air in them.

I used a Rocket ron on the back and a Mudx on the front. Worked realy well, muddy and rooty trails yesterday evening.
