    A look back at how things were done to keep the M62 open in 1979. It’s quite long but the best parts are towards the end. Enjoy the old cars & trucks plus the police actually getting stuck in. I was stuck on the Lancashire side like hundreds of other truck drivers.

    Loved that thanks. Spend many hours on the M62 and I was 1 when that was recorded. Best bit was the ambulance coming in hot and crashing into a car 🙂

    Also, anyone hear Paddy McGuinness?!

    The ambulance sliding on ice into the police Granada is comedy gold. That in itself would close the motorway today! Brilliant work by the police Range Rovers towing trucks & a jack-knifed tanker. Imagine that happening now.
