I’m still looking at smartphones to use as a gps,I’m looking at a Samsung Omnia 7,as I’m used to Win 7,this has got a big screen,and I can get it with unlimited downloads for £15 a month,has anyone got/used one?

Maybe not a lot of help, but I’ve got a HTC trohpy 7. Great handset and WP7 is a brilliant OS. Very pleased with it. Snappy and responsive software and hardware. Not used it as a gps though.

I had one, great phone. The Omnia 7 is the best model for now.

Gorgeous screen and intuitive software. I’d wait for the new Nokia models and the Mango software.

Samsung tend to mess updates up with WP7.

Ive still got an omnia 7 and its been excellent, screen is fantastic, its pretty solid and ive not had any problems with updates. Cant wait for mango though, loads of new stuff coming.

only drawback is you cant add to the memory so I would maybe choose something else if you want to use it for much music and video as 8gb doesnt go that far

Nah,just going to be a phone,gps and do a bit of surfing while I’m fishing.
