    What the hell?
There’s only one way to find out for sure…

Light it, film it. The only scientific way to be sure.

you do know that Special Branch monitor this forum, don’t you?

They’ll be sending the boys round shortly.

Failing that, I’d put it in a bucket of water for 24 hours if I were you.

    I’d call the police

They’ll over-manage it and [by default] get you the rest of the day off

I’ve got a ballistic mortar in the shop

not a phrase you’d hear from most bike shop owners, it has to be said.

    It’s only a little one 🙂

It’s next to the paper making machine.

i almost probably………….certainly……… definitely………….. would be going somewhere quiet and lighting the bugger – that’s a firecracker -what the hell is it doing in a bike box??? – Even better put it in coke bottle with some sugar and baking soda when you light it. stand back though…

Whatever you do… do not put it in the sink/bath/loo filled with water when lit.

Just google youtube for firecrackers set off in the bathroom to find out why.

    that’s a firecracker

That was the opinion of the police officer who has just visited.

    Free explosives with new bike?

That works for me on sooo many levels!

Whilst unpacking another Savannah Ladies bike I found this in the bottom of the bike box. The logo says “explosive component, if found place in bucket of water for 24 hours”.

It’s a crow scarer ….. it’s normally attached to a large slow burning rope … yeah they are bloody loud especially in workshops/metal bins/2″behind your heels etc .Me an my friends have burgered about with them before the fuse is about 4 to 7 seconds long … if your out in the countryside light an chuck it in a field for personal amusement if your in the city/not immature like myself I’d stick it in a bucket of water for 24 hrs
