anyone on here, who can give me some sound advice of where to get a ‘not too costly’ will sorted for my old mum?

Just go to a local solicitor, get a quote first. Straightforward will should be no more than an hours work all in.

Local lawyer. Having done mirror wills to take care of stuff including childcare and all sorts else for just a few hundred quid I really don’t understand why anyone would not get a lawyer to do it even on a low value estate.

No I am not a lawyer just the idea that someone might have to clear stuff up after my death without the benefit of a properly prepared will really bothers me.
