    Hi Guys

My last effort was named incorrectly so lets see if anyone knows anything about these wheels.

    http://www.edinburghbicycle.com/products/wilkinson-29er-820-alloy-wheel

I’m going to build an experimental 69er with my scandal frame and I want a dirt cheap 29er front wheel, not having much luck in the classifieds so looking at the lower end of the new market.

    Any experiences or alternatives?

Must add it is for off-road trail use and must be 9mm to match my rigid forks.

    Thanks

It’s a cheap wheel , but as long as you keep a check on the spoke tension it should be fine
Think the rim is a little narrow but can’t reminder to be sure

Deore hub is mother special either but if looked after will last ok

There does not seem much choice for cheap ready build 29er wheels

    Cheers,

There certainly is a lack of options as you say, cant seem to find the rim width anywhere which is a spec worth knowing really.
