- Wiggle mountain mayhem- Camping
I’m actually pretty gutted missing this one this year.. new baby due the week after and couldn’t risk letting the team down…
Shame the weather is turning as always.. sure will be much better than eastnor for damp conditions!!
Noticed on the emails from organiser they are advising not to follow your tom toms when close to the event!!Posted 4 years agocollostomySubscriber
Missnotax and Toasty, will be on a five too. so if its the wrong choice at least I will be in good company lol.Posted 4 years ago
Loving this thread… Utter panic about camping lol, It’s always been a first come first served basis for camping at events.
By the way I am parked outside the gates now with my ex Gerry Cottle Circus big top and miles of tape to ensure I get the very best spot 8)BadlyWiredDogSubscriber
why did they say first come first served? that usually implies a restricted amount of something. probably a poor choice of words causing unecessary worry among the entrants.
Clearly they did it so that the paranoid minority could have a good public worry frenzy. Other stuff to be worried about: will there be enough soap on site? Will the ground be too hard to camp on? Is there a Michelin-starred restaurant within reach? What will happen if there’s a small localised earth-quake? Will Princess Anne be riding round the course dressage style and if so do you address her as ‘Maam’ or just shout ‘RIDER!’ Or ‘Rider, Maam’?
I’m focussing right now on how many chocolate trifles to take with me. Will the organisers allow chocolate trifles on site though? Oh the drama…Posted 4 years agoFunkyDuncMember
There is enough room for everyone to camp at Gatcombe Park.
No-one will be turned away.
“Can I bring a caravan?”
“Can I bring a motorhome?”
Please note: no electric hook-ups or effluent disposal available at Gatcombe Park.
I think some one from Mayhem has been reading this thread 😆Posted 4 years agotomsticklandMember
Just had a look back from last year….Posted 4 years ago
Well, i’m quite looking forward it even though I spent my drive to work this morning with a fuly loaded car) remembering all the things forgot to pack…
So far I have remembered that I have forgotten to pack a torch, plastic plate and bowl, a towel, a mallet and a camping chair. Am currently rummaging through the kitchen at work to find anything plate-like… Decided I can do without a towel.Posted 4 years ago
Maybe 27mph wind and an exposed top of the hill campsite are making your nerves go funny molgrips
I think it might make my caravan awning go funny… On the one hand, it’s a great place for the kids to play, on the other.. it’s a tent and subject to wind…
Goodness, that’s keen. I’ve just eaten a large slice of chocolate cheesecake – that’s my race prep
My race head isn’t to make me go faster, it’s to help me come to terms with the pain and suffering.Posted 4 years ago
