My current summer shoes are close to the end of their life and I’m looking for a new pair of shoes which have the following:

    – Wide – I have fairly wide feet and struggle with a number of brands
    – Cool – I live in the south of Austria so temperatures regularly are 30 deg and above
    – Strong – Most rides are pretty technical and rooty and rocky

I am off to Saalbach at the weekend so I will take a look around but anybody have any suggestions?

The Scott trail line of shoes are slightly wider fitting

I’ve only done 100k in mine but they are really nice, stiff enough, still good at walking and well vented and seem tough so far

Size 41 then you are in luck…… http://m.startcycles.co.uk/scott-trail-boa-evo-cycling-shoes-234721.html

    shimano do wide fitting shoes.

I’ve got some of the mtb bike ones. They are wide but they tend to be wide through out, even the ankle.

So I’d more properly describe them as shimano fat foot.
Not the perfect fit if you have wide feet but thinnish ankles.

However I have problems with my left foot if the shoe is tight. Its been fine since using them. I just have to do the buckle up a bit more than normal.

I not tend to get either hot or cold feet though.
They seem no warm that any other shoes I’ve had.

They have lasted well though I would describe them as reasonably strong.
