    Since XC courses became so tame I havn’t bothered.

    Isn’t the Megavalanche supposed to be a ‘Mountainbike’ Race for all skills? Maybe that should be the datum.

    only 2 times ive seen matt page race XC was single speeds, GB beat him at SSUK, and Jon from JRA and gareth montgomerie beat him at SSWC ( think he was 3rd fastest brit around 20th) but he keeps that fast pace allllll day long, so fastest allrounder is Matt Page.
