    Not a massive Dr fan.

However, I did enjoy the series that Christopher Eccleston did. The best of he “new” Dr’s.

I am looking forward to this one tonight, John Hurt should bring something to it.

    Yep, looking forward to it.

Clara has really helped my cross racing with her phrase “run you clever boy, run”, so when struggling it’s on the hoof we go.

Binerette number one is obsessed with Dr Who. She’s been banging on about it all week, so we’ll be watching 🙂

I’ll be watching…son is off to see the 3D version at the local cinema

Getting a bit tired of Dr Who though…doesn’t seem to live up to the hype/publicity for me. Maybe John Hurt will revive it. Preferring Atlantis which seems to be ditched this week 🙁

looks good and a lot of hype, but how can you improve anything thats had 50 years of great shows, a difficult one.

Watched it from the very first episode up until Tom Baker, lost track after that, partly due to having a Saturday job, and getting home too late, and partly because it just became a bit of a joke, Peter Davidson, Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy just lacked that ‘something’ the character needed. Having a Director General at the Beeb who hated it didn’t help, either.
Chuffed when it came back, with people who actually cared about it, and wrote decent storylines, got good actors to appear in it, and finally it had a budget that enabled it to have the SFX needed to get it away from the shonky wobbly studio sets and a quarry in Surrey, or wherever.
Really looking forward to tonight. 😀

Yep,was big fan as a kid so when I had kids I showed them the old ones. Then up pops Russell T Davies and Christopher Ecclestone and I get to do it all again.

Pizzas cooking, wine open, fire burning away – bring it on!

Seen absolutely nothing about Russel T Davis and his excellent writings, and updating the Dr Who format.

Bloody excellent! Round of applause from me too. Really well done, and Hurt was on good form. Nice little jibe at the Americans not getting their hands on time-travel technology that made me laugh.
And Clara… (Goes for a quiet lie down in a darkened room).
Oh, and Tom Baker, still mad as a bag of owls… 😀

    Well,

I thought it was cracking. Though in hindsight, they could’ve crossed out John Hurt and written Paul McGann, lost nothing and been ankle deep in fan excitement.

yeah woudve been great to see mcgann in there but still really enjoyed it, looked good in HD, JY how was it in 3D?
