I’ve driven my bike into a height restrictor and it just came out of the roof rack with some slight damage to the front wheel. I’d bet a DH frame is stronger than the wheel/frame fixings on a bike carrier?

aahhhh the memories, happened to me about 20yrs ago whilst riding an orange prestige (remember them?) – had a dramatic momentum cancellation whilst going down alter lane in bingley (got pushed into a drainage ditch and big rock by riding companion)

the frame ended up folding itself at the points on the tubing where the internal butting occured 😯 looked identical to the OP’s pic

I think keith lambert’s still has a photo of it in his workshop!

I saw a vid when he landed something once. It came after 6 or 7 crashes that would have killed or maimed anyone else. I couldn’t see the point at all.

Apparently a 30 foot gap and a 30 foot tree was involved
