we all know the current holder of this position is a c##k

the pope and the Dali Lama ….religion is just great at bringing about peace anywhere in the world. Or george Bush only a keen mind and a cunning diplomat can help now… believe he will have some free time soon.

GLUMPTON … but only if real diplomacy is needed once he has thumped enough people (for being nice) surely peace will rain supreme?

Blair would be a superb choice, but for his involvement in the invasion of Iraq. Clinton would be excellent too.

The right person is probably an asian or south american diplomat we’ve never heard of.

Edward Teller is dead, so how about a few of his ‘children’?

It also points to the ideal candidate for the job- a primary school teacher. They should all be made to sit with their hands on their heads and not allowed out to play until someone owns up to starting it.

Surely the people who appointed Blair will now be looking at an equally suitable and perfectly qualified soon-to-be-ex premier? One with a perfect track record on bringing peace to the region?

    How about Boris Johnson ?

He’s tactful enough and know about the ins and outs of the middle east conflict.

Richard Dawkins might be the only person in the world who would be a worse choice than Tony Bliar.

Is anyone else mildly disapointed that no-ones tried to shoot the current “peace envoy” yet?

Given his record re: afghanistan and Iraq I was sure that he’d be dodging bullets as soon as he got their.

Not that I’m suggesting that it would be good if he was shot…..

….. he should be hung like the traitor to his country he is!

Boutros Boutros Ghali…seeing as the Egyptians are currently trying to model themselves as peace makers!

Has he actually been there? Having just got back from his holiday, he’s gone to the States to get a medal for starting a war in the Middle East. Maybe he should keep the medal in his breast pocket – it might deflect a bullet.

Sadly, right now “peace” is not the priority in the Middle East.

    The priority is justice.

After all, there can never be “peace” without “justice”.

    🙁

    i think i could do it… yes, i could.

firstly, indite the leaders of both israel and whoever-seems-to-run-hamas as war criminals.

secondly, send in the vietnamese army as ‘peacekeepers’, with the proviso that they do the same job in the region as they did with the khmer rouge in cambodia. (that is, quietly put a bullet in the head of anyone who upsets them) you mustn’t get squeamish at this point, it has to be done.

thirdly, withdraw the vietnamese army and encourage those left to engage in sensible discussion. or we’ll let the vietnamese back in again…

    i await the call.
