Quantum physics shows that if the Universe was not being observed, it would not exist.

Or to put it another way, the Universe exists because it is being observed.

Why didn’t it disappear/turn into vegetables like the other stuff?

I don’t know about deep, but I find I have my more helpful thoughts while out in the outdoors and greenery. Like learning about letting things go upon realising that it was spoiling my enjoyment of being outside, and similarly about not having anybody to compete with but myself when doing something simple like cutting down saplings.

Spending time outside is a very good thing, the simplicity of things can bring clarity.

At what point did I become conscious, is it like a flame passed from one torch to another? Or does it not really exist, more like a series of animated dominoes.

There was a young man who said though
it seems I know that I know,
    what I’m longing to see
is the I that knows me
when I know that I know that I know.

Two people in every one are schizophrenic.

As for Schrödinger’s cat I suspect it’s dead. Poison and radioactive isotope aside it’s probably starved to death or died of old age.

Why are eggs (generally) sold in multiples of six?

Why are eggs (generally) sold in multiples of six?

That’s easy. Using 12 as a number of something is better than the natural 10 because you can split it 2, 3, 4 or 6 ways. So base 12 numbers are popular all over the place – degrees, minutes, seconds, hours and so on. Eggs like loads of other things are sold by the dozen, but 12 is quite a few eggs so you can buy six. But you can also get 4 eggs sometimes too.
