Looking for a bike with similar points

The riftzone is now out of stock most sizes but seen this

Can it be beaten for the money?

Seems pretty good value – although the new Sonder Cortex could be worth a look. Probably a tiny bit more expensive for the nx eagle and Revs but still well under £2k.

I thought a lot about a norco fluid when buying, and found a great nearly new one.

Ultimately the reviews found flaw in the norco, whereas nobody seemed to have anything negative to say about the marin.

I found there was zero chance of demoing these bikes, so had to go by reviews.

If I was buying now I would buy the Sonder Cortex new. The angles all add up, the wheels are good and wide and the drivetrain can be upgraded as it wears.

It’s the bike I was holding out for, but it didn’t show up in time.

Not the most slack and long but can recommend the Vitus Escape 29. Bargain for 1800 quid.

Have ridden at bike park Wales and round peak District – climbs well enough and fantastic on descents/singletrack.

It’s a little on the heavy side but nothing that bad. Absolute bargain for the price. Even comes with decent tyres set up tubeless.

If you can stretch a little to £1999 then have a look at the new 2020 Orbea Occam – https://www.orbea.com/gb-en/bicycles/mountain/occam/cat/occam-h30

I am a proper bike snob and would actually just own and ride that as it is. Great frame, great spec. Money where it counts in the suspension. Finally arriving in a few weeks too!

Seems a good deal and it’s actually in the budget of £1500 unlike most but can’t find any reviews?

    My money would go on-
    Marin Drift Zone 1
    Norco Fluid Fs1

They are both great value at (around) £1500.

You’ll never get everything you want, even if you expand the budget.

OR Mboys S150 if you can get it within budget.
I’ve got the Carbon one and it’s one hell of a bike.

Can you fit a coil shock on those Occams with the strange shock mount position.
