Have some Australian friends coming over for the weekend and was hoping to take them over to the white peak for a short walk & pub / cafe lunch ( possibly both!). I’m based in cheshire on the west side of the peaks and was thinking of Hartington, Ashford or similar. Any recommendations welcome!

    Ashford in the water
Walk to monsel head. Walk back, eat in ashford arms (might need to book)

    Well that’s what I’d do!

Park at Longnor or Hollinsclough, head over to Parkhouse, Chrome hill and Hollins. Spectacular bit of countryside.
