I realise that may split opinion, and clearly it depends on the bike, but every time I see a bike with white forks on I always wonder they black ones weren’t fitted
Black would usually look so much better, especially as most of the kit (apart from the frame) is usually black
Just don’t get white forks
[unless of course they’re really cheap at which point the case for them is much clearer]
They do look inferior, but I have to let them fly based on my rule of “All bike bits must be black, with the exception of the frame and forks which can be any colour you like”. If you let those with no taste have white forks it will hopefully stop them having gold anodized shit everywhere.
(I will admit to having sinned with white forks myself in the past, because they were the cheapest ones available in that colour. In my defence, they do look far worse now a lot of them have black stanchions)
I hated my white Forks. So while the frame was away for repainting, I repainted stripped the forks and painted them satin black with 2015 Fox heritage decals
Quadra 21 were yellow, pair of Dukes that were dark blue, Some lurid Green Marz things, original Fox were silver, couple of Magura models that were white, then a pair of white Lyriks and now white Revs…
I don’t mind the white forks on my High Latitude. Black would possibly look a bit better but it’s what the bike came with and I’m not swapping them just because of the colour 🙂
