I’m in Japan, and have been perusing the local liquor store. I’ve come across some Johnny Walker Blue label for J¥12600(£70) which I think is a ridiculous bargain as I can’t find it for less than £130 in the uk.

Defo a steal, as it’s not whiskey.

Nothing Scottish, Japanese or Tasmania? Was sampling some very fine circa £150/bottle down here this week

Go native! Try some Nikka “from the barrel”.

    Beautiful stuff.

I have just picked up a little Nikka “Whisky from the Barrel” cask strength for £18

The good Japanese whisky is becoming harder to find in Japan as export prices in the USA are so high, and volume is pretty low.

I’ve also got a couple of Nikka Taketsuru (17y/o & 21y/o) at home that I found on offer in Narita Airport duty free for £20/30 respectively last year 🙂
