My inner tart is being drawn to a nice gold and black chain but never used this brand before. Would sram or generic connectors that I already have work?

I’m sure that all the ConnexWippermann chains I’ve bought have come with a split link joint in the box.

Mine all have. Worked well too.

But for a spare in the bag would the other ones get you out of trouble?

Generic split links work with Wippermann chains. Even the Decathlon ones.

Bare in mind the any other link except a Whippermann one will stand out like a sore thumb. This may or may not bother your inner tart.
